Keep in mind that I have a Forester and am basically sitting inside a huge square box. Stuff sounds different.

Without the silencer it's most likely louder than the dual-tip Whisper was. Loudness is not the only problem though, the Whisper droned and didn't sound as mellow. It also burned my bumper.

I'd rather run without a silencer too, but I have other people to deal with. Silencer looks weird, but doesn't actually choke it as much as I thought, running an STi catback chokes it alot more. It only takes a minute to remove/reinstall the silencer, so for me this works out.

What's your setup? IMO, this thing flows very well with the silencer in, I'm tuned for the 3" Whisper and am not noticing any boost or throttle response weirdness with the silencer installed. With the STi catback, I did.

I'm tuned for my invidia street cbe. Catless, vf48, lots of bolt on stuff. Not looking for max performance so it should run ok with a slightly different exhaust. The megan looks good at the price point. People want too much for those borla hushes and they're so damn hard to find used. :/
Just need something a little quieter and more stock looking. Keep the northridge po-po off my back. lol

Yeah, you want a 3" exhaust or you'll loose power. I have a VF43. I get away with more crap because it's a Forester, but I hear you. If you'll be at BAM, you can probably check this thing out in person, I should be there. With the silencer in and the header, it sounds pretty much identical to a stock EVO X.

Have not played with it too much. Would have preferred the pancake lens but they did not have one and it was two hundred dollars more.
