Keep in mind that I have a Forester and am basically sitting inside a huge square box. Stuff sounds different.
Without the silencer it's most likely louder than the dual-tip Whisper was. Loudness is not the only problem though, the Whisper droned and didn't sound as mellow. It also burned my bumper.
I'd rather run without a silencer too, but I have other people to deal with. Silencer looks weird, but doesn't actually choke it as much as I thought, running an STi catback chokes it alot more. It only takes a minute to remove/reinstall the silencer, so for me this works out.
What's your setup? IMO, this thing flows very well with the silencer in, I'm tuned for the 3" Whisper and am not noticing any boost or throttle response weirdness with the silencer installed. With the STi catback, I did.

Just need something a little quieter and more stock looking. Keep the northridge po-po off my back. lol

No pics yet but just purchased a 95 L coupe. WRX rims,brakes,Cobb rear sway,limited edition prodrive bilstein fixed perch strut spring combo,msi endings, and some.little other stuff handles amazing love if already. Not as fast or handle as good as my WRX but a perfect daily with mad handles.

Have not played with it too much. Would have preferred the pancake lens but they did not have one and it was two hundred dollars more.
