Poker Chips
Poker Chips
well, i play a lotta online poker, but im still a huge fan of live play and i get in a tourney game at least once a week. i've been using the same chips for awhile now, only 8g plastic composite. they dont' weigh much but they dont' have the horrible metal clang that most chips have.
who where knows some good brands to choose from, or places to get them from. i see chips all over ebay that say they are clay, and i've been looking at these http://cgi.ebay.com/500-14g-DOLLAR-H...QQcmdZViewItem
but i can't actually believe them to be clay
specially for only 10 bucks.... but for the 10 plus 40 to ship, 50 bucks to see how they are isn't that big of a loss. so i might go for it
im really looking for a chip set of 500 or so and do not have the metal CLANG! i hate that sound.
im trying to keep my budget under 150. so i know these aren't goin to be CASINO chips, cause a set of those costs upward of 500 bucks.
any info would be appreciated.
or if anyone would have a set of 500 or 1000 chips for sale, lemme know

this is where I got my clay chips from....I think they were $125 or so, granted they are not 100% clay...they DO have a metal insert for weight (13g) but they do NOT have that clang that composite chips have...they def. sound like casino chips. Bay Area Poker Chip is actually located off of Trimble over by the SJ airport. Its a cool, very SMALL shop....but the guy that works there is really nice, and helpful....His name is Raymond.
