You know what cracks me up? Is when people buy parts and add HP numbers based off of claims by the part manufacturer, like if they bought a catback that adds 10hp, then bought an underdrive pulley which adds 7hp, then added a "Tornado" as well as an intake which adds 20hp... They add them all up which means that with those mods they have 37hp over stock.

My friend did this and would argue with me when I told him that his system was totally whack. He had a mid 90's Prelude and every time he got a new mod he added the HP number to his total HP...

It's sad how much advantage you can take of someone who knows nothing about cars... No wonder "Jiffy lube" and places like it are million dollar corps!

Why not just get STI. I like bugeye/older models and wagons coverted to STI, but I don't get this type of conversion.

Just like that RX7 ad a few months ago: "salvage title, 3 or 4 bullet holes, meet in hayward, bring cash."

seems legit

I totally agree! I never understood why people would buy a WRX and spend all the money to convert the said WRX into an STi lookalike, because no matter what you do your car will NEVER be an STi, it might have the same parts but it wont be an actual STi. The cost involved in the conversion is sooooooo much more than just buying an STi outright in the beginning. I've seen a lot of people attempt this type of swap and I never understood why they would do it... It just seems illogical.

Maybe if they got the WRX for some SUPER low and crazy price (used) and wanted to beef it up with STi bits, but other than that I don't get it...
