...and while were talking about spirit backroads driving...let's talk about dumb a%$ freeway driving. Little incident involving a modded black STi on 680 southbound on Friday night (around danville). I personally witnessed this guy/gal cut off two minivans (kids and parents alike) etc.... If you're on here "EVOKILLA", do us all a favor and take your dumba#^ ricer attitude and your blowoff valve elsewhere. You missed my bumper by less than an inch when you cut me off (and no I was not in my suby).

dramatic right...the whole "ricer/blowoff valve comment" maaaay have been a little over the top

It was just annoying...if I had decided to speed up before he changed lanes, the result would not have been nice for either of us. And common, I was in a friggin sta-wag for gods sake...in the right lane. No need to prove to me how quick your car is right. Or is that just me?

I think that comment was right on. I hate people like that.

- this is a driver awareness thread, specifically about "spirited" backroad driving. you just admitted that you don't do it on the weekend, but rather on weekday afternoons. i'm just wondering where you get the logic to but that thought together in your head.
-and when did this thread turn into an environmental awareness thread? what do my mods or anyone's mods in regards to whether they are CARB legal have to do with people driving like idiots on narrow back roads?

i have a great time with my WRX, and so do most people on the board. i don't need mommy and daddy to buy me an M3 and an STi.
-cool. spirited does not mean reckless, thanks. I drive roads I know very well on weekday afternoons but I do not hurt any people in the process of doing so... I drive within my limits. I know my limits and the dangers of exceeding them very well, so I don't push them on the street. After all, backroads driving is for relaxation and entertainment; you're not going to win a prize for going fast.
-have you ever seen me drive the backroads? no. so stop wishing "darwinism to speed up." maybe you should wish them to learn to drive more safely rather than hoping they die? just a thought... i wouldn't wish bad things like that on anyone. if for nothing else, for the sake of the person they crash into...
-may the person who has never driven in a "spirited" manner cast the first stone

now can we stop bickering? I'm sick of post like these. I'm sorry if you feel I'm cocky or reckless. so yeah, I'm ready to stop arguing with both you, dlux, and gagan, if you're ready to stop trying to badmouth me every chance you get. It's not really good for anything.

NOW that I'm done with that... RE: EVOKILA :rotfl:

board member "dashiet" sold his car to some kid in danville/blackhawk who just got his license and moved on to an evo. I saw him driving the other day getting on 680 from 580W. the kid cuts people off and speeds up/slows down alot on the freeway. but I don't think he has a ricer blowoff valve... just a loud-ish exhaust. either way, the car's getting a crawford race block and a gt35r. scary thought, considering what he's already capable of on a vf39'd sti.

AND FOR A GOOD LAUGH... check this thread out about him on NorCalEvo...

keep posting that you're some up and coming Aryton Senna and I'll keep saying you're not. Simple as that. Mature about your driving ability, and many people on this board will get off your back.

I agree with the original post, slow it the f*ck down on the streets and watch out for pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles. We all need to watch out for each other out there.
