Hmm, jewpac42 doesn't eat spam. I doubt he'd want to eat Portugese sausage either as it too is made of pork... unless you just don't eat spam cuz you think it's nasty
Unfortunately, the L&L's here on the mainland aren't as good as the one back in Hawai'i
What would be a dream come true is if Yummy's, Grace's, or especially Rainbow Drive-In made it to the mainland! That'd be heaven! You know what they say: you know you a local when you consider Rainbow Drive-In a special date

mmmmm... plate lunch
I just got back from hawaii... had portuguese sausage, eggs and rice for breakfast - Kozo sushi handrolls for lunch - Chicken Katsu, mac salad, and rice for dinner basically everyday. And occasionaly ramen and gyoza.
A couple days after back on the mainland... went to L&L in hayward for a katsu plate.
I'm a cheap/fat bastard.

For those of you wondering what it is- it's simply a beef patty (once frozen none-the-less, and thin flat), 2 fried eggs sitting on a bed of rice covered with gravy...some how i think this may have derived from a broke college kid looking for food...anyway turned out this concuction was actually pretty tasty.

Chicken katsu is a good one also.
