Plate lunch in Sac, 2004
Unreals! Place fo' plate lunch in south Sac. Two locations to open in 2004!

Plate lunch in Hawaii typically offer a simple menu served on a paper plate, all for a relatively cheap price. It ain't fine dining, nor is it authentic Hawaiian cuisine (that stuff is good!), but plate lunch is the meal of choice for the everyday working joe, or josephine in HI.
I wouldn't mind meeting at one of the L&L's after they open for business but we probably should give some thought before we change the regular Saturday meet in case it leads to confusion.

Elk Grove location is scheduled to open May 15th! This isn't a proposed meet location, just an eat location for Elk Grove/south Sac.

L&L in Hayward is good when you're EXTREMELY hungry. The servings are gargantuan I wouldn't say it's the best, but it definitely gives you more than what you pay-both in taste and servng. With plenty of rice and macaroni salad it's not a place for those of you on the Atkins plan. Oh, it's cool too because it closes at 10 when most restaraunts close at 9.

We have tons of L&L's here in Hawaii, I highly recommend eating there.
Next time I get up there, I want to check out what the L&Ls are like in the mainland.
