place to change oil

is there anywhere in the city i can go and change my oil? I moved to the city and I not longer have a garage or driveway to do it in. I take it the cops won't like me doing it on the street, right?

They cant say much to you as long as your doing it in a legal park place, and are disposing of all the hazardous materials properly. My buddy lives in the SoMa's up in the city. Dosent have a garage ethier. Changes his own oil every 3500 miles. Hell ive helped him a few times and watched bike patrol cops roll by

Yeah I'm sure its not a big problem, where do u live? I see people on the sidewalk working on their cars all tht ime. You can always borrow someone's driveway for a day.

I live in Noe Valley. There's tons of foot traffic - baby strollers and people walking their dogs, so I thought it might be weird working on my car in the street. If i can't find a driveway to use, I guess I'll have to do that. Now i just gotta find a parking spot that's not in between two other cars...

I live in Noe Valley too - you are welcome to do it at my place - I have a covered, reserved, pretty flat parking stall and absolutely zero foot traffic.

you should get the fumoto valve. you don't even need to jack up the car or put it on a ramp.
