What's the best place for an oil change in Marin County...or if they're open late enough in Livermore?

I used to go to Bianco in Marin but they're closed now,...or at least they're service dpt. is.

just go to your local subaru dealership and get a factory oil filter and some moble 1 from costco

oil changes on our cars are very easy to do. filter is right next to the drain plug

I vote home also... get a fumoto valve - it'll make your life easier.

 

the wrx is the EASIEST car to do any oil change i've ever done. F#$K 87 honda accords...arugh!!!!!

Try doing a VW Corrado G60. The filter is helfway into the front bumper. When you get the filter out you have to keep it perfectly upright to avoid spilling oil into your front bumper cavity. Fun!

in yo driveway foo! if you havent done a lot of work on your car, it will make you like ur car a bit better. you will also have time to check all the fluids/suspension/steering components while that blood is draining.

 

this is off topic, but a perfectly designed car for oil changes is a late 90's honda accord....the oil pan/plug and filter are within a foot of one another, the oil filter points straight down and the oil plug points away from you if you creep under the car from the front.

oil changing from home is overwhelming the first time you do it and gets easier each time until it becomes second-nature. good luck

 

off topic too - i hated changing oil in my 97 civic - that damn side mounted oil filter was a *****.

The WRX is soooo much easier to change the oil on.

with the futomo valve you'll be done in 15minutes with the satisfaction that it was done correctly.

 

Just curious...how many quarts does a 2002 WRX take? How many quarts should I buy? Is this something I can do without jacking the car up?
