But I am planning on eventually doing a sanctioned event. A guy in my car club has a couple 200mph patches. I am trying to talk my little bro out of his 41 ford pickup. That will then be getting a big motor and turned into a bonnie style hot rod....I'l like to hit 130-160 in that. quarter mile times in the 11's or lower.

If that doesn't work out I'll build a bonneville car some time.
There's another venue for joining the 200 mph club ... and one of their events is held in Wendover on the NV / UT border not far from Bonneville. Check out: www.openroadracing.com

Plus one of the guys who does those events runs a 37 Ford pick-up in the 170 mph class. Check out the results for May 05 at the Silver State Classic!

The 350z crashed at a Silver State Classic (SSCC) event based out of Ely in eastern Nevada, not the MKM event based out of Wendover on the NV / UT border. The driver of that 350z has been back to the SSCC a few times and has never managed to complete the 90 mile course ...
