He was there in july, when its more of a slush surface, its starting to dry out in places, but nobody's going 150 on that crap- a couple months later and its a different story, but I still wouldn't suggest blazing around out there apart from a sanctioned event.

Too many ditches, puddles and other unseen hazards out on the salt- if you don't know where you are going you can find yourself in real deep doodoo out there.

planning on it.

I would have ripped some donuts...for sure.

But I am planning on eventually doing a sanctioned event. A guy in my car club has a couple 200mph patches. I am trying to talk my little bro out of his 41 ford pickup. That will then be getting a big motor and turned into a bonnie style hot rod....I'l like to hit 130-160 in that. quarter mile times in the 11's or lower.

If that doesn't work out I'll build a bonneville car some time.

Would you be interested in some Tri-Five Corvette valve covers? They're a little grungy, but they should clean-up well. PM me if you want 'em.
