I know the drive's been done, but I just wanna brag, lol.
Longest drive I've done was 28 hours, no sleep in between from the San Jose area to the West Yellowstone Nat'l Park entrance in Montana. Only 2 Monster Energy cans were necessary. A large selection of music with interesting and foreign scenery kept me awake.

1) It was travel season, so there was already a lot of traffic to deal with
2) it seems like over half of our route was under construction of some sort
So a combination of both made it that freakin' long.
As for Vegas and Salt Lake City, didn't go to Vegas, but passed Salt Lake City so we could see Bonneville Salt Flats then to Reno.
