How on earth did you make that drive take so long? I usually do it in 14 or so from Berkeley, anything over 16 couldn't be straight through- I'd guess maybe you went through Las Vegas and Salt Lake city (?)

As for Vegas and Salt Lake City, didn't go to Vegas, but passed Salt Lake City so we could see Bonneville Salt Flats then to Reno.
