I've got DirecTV and AT&T DSL/home phone and I'm paying about $140/mo total. I really like DirecTV aside from the relatively high cost and would have a hard time giving it up for Comcast or any other t.v. provider for that matter. I like having the landline (local phone access only) and Comcast internet has always been prohibitively expensive as I'm only paying $19.95 for the DSL. I've thought about switching, but don't see a hell of a lot of an advantage to it.

Yesterday AT&T came out - the tech said that my signal was 99% corrupted and the main line was bad. Opened a service ticket - and AT&T was supposed to be out working on the main line today at noon.
Got home

And yep - it's even worse.

Just signed up with Comcast.
Can't wait to tell AT&T to go to hell on Sunday after the install.

So - what EMTA modem does everyone like?

 

Just signed up with Comcast last month after dealing with Astound's BS customer service. And tell ATT to eat a dick for me

we are suppose have 6Mbps down.. the only time I get advertised speeds is after 12AM! to like 8AM..

during the day and esp peak hours at evening.. THIS is what I get..
