Pick my Internet/TV/Phone provider

Rather than hi-jacking another thread I thought I'd start a new one.
I'm a U-verse customer and am losing patience with AT&T very quickly
It seems to have been slowing down over the last few months
Currently paying for 12mb/s service and am getting this

Needless to say I'm a little pissed off about the performance... not to mention their customer service SUCKS

I'm paying ~$125/month out the door including a 4-channel DVR

Comcast is looking like it will cost small fortune... help

Has anyone used these guys http://www.etheric.net ?

what he said!!!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I have comcast with internet and cable, never have had a problem with them like I did with att's intrernet. They even offered playboy for free for 3 months but my wife got the phone call when I wasnt home and she said no. girls. By far they are a good deal and problem free .

get direct tv for tv it is by far the best i've had and depending on your area you'll be able to package in internet with another carrier.

Hard to beat the speeds of comcast, but they have been known to throttle bandwidth. If you don't torrent, you'll be fine with them. I am stuck with AT&T 6Mbps dsl and it SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

Uh just an FYI. Speedtest.net's SF server has been putting down ****ty numbers for months. Try selecting the San Jose or Palo Alto servers and I bet your numbers will be higher!

I found this out a few months ago, even emailed them, and they've yet to do anything about it.

^ Is that a promotional price? On Sonic's website it says $40 ($39.95)

Interested to hear feedback on anyone who has it. Kinda sick of paying $35 for slow 3mb dsl when I can pay $5 more for 20mb service. Also, is service affected the farther away you're from the server? It says I'm about 7600 ft from their server.

^ i have them and it works great I see 12 mbps all the time, I'm also 500ft away from the node. And you are right the price is $40. I get a discount on Sonic because they rent lines from where I work.
