Performance Difference between 2.5" axle-back and 3" axle-back?

You guys think it's worth paying $50-$60 to swap my axle-back from 2.5" to 3". Everything else before the axle is 3" so my exhaust is bottle necked. Thanks guys

Vic

If everything else is 3", definatly upgrade. Bottle necks like that are what cause lost power.

You won't gain any power if the 2.5" is straight through. Unless you're already pushing 400+hp and the exhaust is the bottleneck.

Sometimes you just have to do things because you want to...not for performance. Just SAY they were for performance.

I dropped my Prodrive axleback section at the dragstrip and picked up NOTHING e.t. wise and just a tenth or two of a MPH. If I had seen BIG gains I would have considered getting a different axleback setup and tried to stick with 3" all the way. Don't know how much .5" diameter is going to make...
