For People who have the Nikon D70
Did any of you buy the Remote for it?
if so,
does it work well?
I heard that there's other ones you can buy, and also there's some universal remote you can get that will work for the camera too.

I wanted the advice of a fellow I-clubber.
Most of them are the same deal. Just a wireless piece w/ one button. You can program some universal remotes, but I dunno about lugging a big remote controller around with you.
I've used it on other cameras and it rocks. Even on a tripod, you can have camera shake and this pretty much eliminates it. Very good accessory IMO.

I really don't use the remote too often, but it's cheap enough and small enough that I got one any way, just to have.
One annoying thing is that you can't use it from behind the camera as the IR sensor is in front.
Good luck!

Ooh.. you know, I heard that you can put a dental mirror on the camera and make it to reflect the light into the sensor from the back of the camera. it's kinda ghetto, but you could probably use foil too haha.

I mean, yeah... it's really not TOO expensive. and I can buy it from Amazon (Thanks Eric) for about 18 bux. Ritz sells it for 25 or so. But when I went to Amazon.. I saw this telephoto lens that goes up to 300mm. It was only 129 and it's by nikon. do any of you have this? if it's good, I think I might get both
Depends on what you're going to use it for. I know Nikkor makes good lenses. Really good lenses that use high quality glass are sometimes 2-3x more than the camera itself haha! You really can't go wrong w/ the kit lens(18-70mm AF-S) for starters. It's a really nice lens compared 2 the canon kit lens which is decent, but not very good. The lenses are whats going to kill your wallet though. The camera is actually the cheap part. Good luck.
