people with tint-----

im considering tinting my car now that I've finished most of the exterior stuff, but my question is do you get harassed a lot about it down here? how many of you living in the bay area have been pulled over for it.

I also have my headlights cleared so I'm worried if I get busted for the tint then ill get busted for the headlights and it was kind of a PITA to clear.

I've got 35 up front and 20 all the way around the back on my wagon and I haven't had any problems yet. Had the car nearly 3 years. My last car had the same tint. No issues with that one either.

And I just got pulled over and got a couple fix it tickets...didn't even mention my windows.

If you ever get pulled over. just roll down both front windows and keep your hands where they can see them. As long as they can see you they usually don't trip.

Have vince at Omega Tintworks do them...he's the best I've see yet. and hooks up i-club.

you dont want to go too dark in the back otherwise itll be harder to see out at night. i have 35 front 20 rear and the difference in the percentage makes it seem as if the front isnt tinted as much/at all at times. no problems with cops either. this was a suggestion from other people around here and its worked so far, looks good, it just works. thats my suggestion.

Sungard metallized tint(not the gay mirror tint, just minor reflectivity) 5% on the back, 50% on the front. Never had a problem at all. With the back so dark, they don't pay attention to the front. It's dark enough to keep the car cool and protect the interior, and personally I can see fine out of the back at night. It usually depends on the entire package of the car. If you have a fart cannon and some bling then they will probably home in on whatever they can.

edit: you can kind of see it here

Tint

06Suba!!!! Where were you last weekend in tahoe man???? We missed you. Anyways....I have limo tint on my rear 3 windows and a light stock looking tint on my fronts......never have been bothered or harrased about it. You can get as dark as you want on the back. Its the fronts the cops look at. If you get a light tint in the front you should be fine.

So you goin boarding anytime soon man? Lets try to meet up sometime.

Eli

20% all around, 1 ticket in Pleasanton. Our cops suck.

Having had 20%, I now recommend 35%.
