PDXTuning's custom AP maps

Has anyone had any experience with this? I searched and found one thread, but I'm wondering if anyone in the bay area has done it and whether it has worked out well on CA91.

How much are their maps? Why not just get a Protune locally.

For real, go to see Mike @ Gruppe-s or Ed with EQ and get a protune. I bet that works pretty good.

Their maps are $150. I just figured going to gruppe-s or EQ might cost me double that if it takes a couple hours.

No, mike can usually get a basic tune done in an hour or so. If you have a wild set up that takes 2-3hours of tuning, you certainly don't want a mail in map

If you already have the AP, and it sounds like you setup isn't that crazy you'll get out for less than that. Mail in maps are for the unfortunate that don't live in or near "virtual tuning mecca". Get a protune.

sounds good was just exploring all my options, but if it's going to cost anywhere near the same, then it sounds like mike or ed is the way to go.

thanks.

I actually provide base maps and remote custom tuning as well, but this is generally reserved for those who are too far to get an on site tune. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks

PDX had issues making power on their last trip down here. The gas in Oregon is a lot better then the crap we get here.

I don't see PDX setting up shop here any time soon.

Get a local protune.

+1 for ED from EQ. his road tuning is $125/hour and usually gets a little more hp than a dyno tune. takes about 1 hour per map.

I got:
2002 AP
upgraded boost solenoid INSTALLED
2 maps
5 gallons of 100 octane

for $965

now with the 100 octane map my 4eat wrx pulls f'in hard
