I'd hate to be mentally unstable in China... If they treat their mentally ill anyway they treat their addicts and criminals, then it's bad news for that guy. He'll probably sentenced to death for trying to commit suicide.
Our country may have it's downsides, but at least we're not as bad off as China... Would China still be as unjust and tyrannical if all of it's citizens were armed with firearms from the beginning of it's last dynasty? Would the citizens do what the Americans would do and rise up against the tyrannical gov't? Or would they rise up?

A man threatening to jump off a bridge in China and commit suicide was pushed off the bridge by a motorist who was fed up with the traffic.
The jumper held up traffic on the bridge for 5 hours. Police tried to coax him down, but it wasn’t working. Then a retired soldier offered his help to get the jumper to come down. Police refused his help, so the man crossed police barriers, went up to the jumper, shook his hand and then pushed him off the bridge! The man fell 26 feet onto an inflated emergency cushion.
The soldier told reporters, “I pushed him off because jumpers like Chen are very selfish.”
Mr Chen is said to have suffered spine and elbow injuries and is recovering in a Guangzhou hospital. And he was apparently suicidal because of his debt totaling around $250,000.
The bridge has gained a macabre reputation, attracting at least 12 would-be suicide jumpers since the start of April. None of the 12 has jumped, although each has held up traffic for several hours.
Is it wrong that I find this awesome?

"I pushed him off because jumpers like Chen are very selfish. Their action violates a lot of public interest," Lai was quoted as saying by Xinhua. "They do not really dare to kill themselves. Instead, they just want to raise the relevant government authorities' attention to their appeals."
