Passed by an EVO tonight

Driving in the slow lane (fuel meter below the E) on 880N tonight, when a car with 4 HID low beams pulls up quickly behind me. I'm thinking "4 low projectors, Probably a Mazda 6," as it's one of the few car's I've seen with 6 headlights. Then he pulls into the next lane and starts pulling, HARD, and I can start to hear the exhast, and as he pulls out of view of my rear view mirror I think to myself "that's no 6."

Sure enough, he gets in front of me and pulls into my lane, and I see the plain trunk, high wing and Altezzas. I think he had a Bozz Performance temp plate. There was traffic all around and he got out at the next stop, so I guess he either wanted to show off his new ride or got pissed that I was just putting along at 60 (but heck it WAS the slow lane).

Nothing exciting, but having 4 headlights is pretty damned cool, at this point certainly more rare than angel eyes.

That was me. I was in a rush to go home. There was no traffic, as it was nearly 11PM.

The car doesn't have Altezza's. It has JDM EVO VII normal non-altezzed taillights. The car is stock powerwise, but got every suspension part CUSCO makes for that car.

I did see you and I was just trying to greet a fellow i-Clubber by slightly "pulling" on you.

Cheers.

Haha I should have known! Bozz performance. I'm just glad I didn't say "some #(&@% EVO preadolescent tried to race me." When that car changed lanes from behind you I knew you would open it up a bit, so I was already in third and I could still barely keep up. Don't tell me you were just cruising in 5th the whole time :P

Non-Altezzas? I thought they would look too retro, but they light up clear at night and you can still tell they're "jeweled," not diffuse. That's pretty cool.

Were those the stock tires? From the back they looked a bit narrow for 235s, but it's hard to tell anything from headlight illumination.

It took me months to see a real EVO on the street, I'm glad it was an (or rather, the) i-clubber!

The Bozz Evo is sick. Too bad the stupid dealer screwed up the paint job. Alex...you forgot to mention the Bride seats...**** man, that must add about 15 ponies to that puppy.

The cool thing about the Evo is that HKS is about Evoed out. You can get that HKS 3037 Garret GT turbo kit, with the beautiful equal length manifold and a 40MM wastegate for 5 grand.

Parts are plentiful, and power is easily extracted from that car. I am in love...

Japan in January...Evo VIII in January...I can't wait.

I must say that my WRX is running outstandingly with the UTEC...I feel like I am a pretty good tuner...I love my WRX/STi hybrid...gonna be sad to see her go!

Oh yeah, and you HAVE to have the VII lights on the VIII...no riceboys here!

When I get an evo, I will attempt to change my username on most of the boards that I frequent. You and I are thinking on the same plane man!
