not too shabby
don't forget all those times when the MU is full so you're forced to park in a 45min meter and u see the TAPS jerks writing you a $30 ticket just as you're walking back to your car from class...pure bliss

Guad!! How I miss that place. My roomate and I use to go there all the time since we lived really close to it...As for parking...I think you're screwed unitl you get outta of the dorms. Even when I was in the dorms it was a pain in the *** to find parking. Good thing I didn't have a nice car then, I'd be worried about ppl messing with it. I rember this one guy in the doorms had this white civic, it was clean not over the top. It had some rims and was lowered and some stickers on it, looked good and one day as I was walking through the parking lot to get to the bus stop I noticed that someone had spray painted "***** Wigger" on the hood of his car. That really sucked!

I have no problem with parking kinda far from campus, like I'v said, I basically only want it for weekends, I certainly don't plan on using it daily and thus parking far away is fine, obviously closer is prefered but I will be fine w/ a ~20 minute walk to my car.

dorifto: the MU would probably actually be somewhat cheaper, since I wouldn't need it during holidays (when I'm not on campus) and during the summer - so it would probably only be for about 8 months making it closer to $1400. - WAY more than the $350 my sister had to pay as a freshman at UO - Also, quite a bit more than a parking garage in Dixon, CA (10 mi away) which would be ~$70/month *12 months= $840 a year - nearly half the price! =D

And about the jobs thing. I understand that I will not be designing a car per-say and, at least at first, will probably not even be working on a part of the car that I'v ever even thought of before (such as your lock example). I'd love to work on a racecar, or some kind of cool R&D thing. I don't however expect to be getting to do that kind of thing, certainly not right after graduating. Maybe 5-10 years after graduating tho

im sure you will eventually find a place to park.
if you really REALLY have trouble with parking, pm me and i can tell you about some spots.
i am reluctant to share on here because i too, have to fight for parking off campus, which is something about 1 out of every 4 students already do.

Have you tried searching through craigslist or something (don't type craiglist... or else you'll end up at a **** site hahaha made the mistake at work a few days ago!!). I'm looking for an art studio and I noticed there's something in there that has parkings for rent too. try it, if it goes all the way up to davis.
