Ok, I don't know if this is common in your neighborhood or not, but I live in Cupertino and everywhere I go, I see Asian women wearing these DAMN tinted face shields! They wear them while driving their cars, they wear them while walks with their husbands, they probably wear them while taking a dump on the can! Now I don't sterotype often (it's not always a bad thing!) nor do I discriminate (discrimination is very bad!), but I'm Asian American and I think this is straight up FOB! It's already bad enough that Cupertino is like a total FOBville bubble (Fantasia, Ranch 99, Cupertino Village, etc.), but come on! My God! This is way over the line! I'm sorry to say, but the "Asian Invasion" of the Bay Area has it's flaws and I'm full blooded Chinese American! 1st generation at that and if anyone calls me a FOB, they're blind and stupid!

Back to the tinted face shields: Are you following that Asian stereotype and too cheap to buy some freakin tint on your car? From the glares of the sun and how it can blind you while driving? That's why you wear this to cover up your face? I asked my dad what's the purpose of these and he said it's for beauty reasons. It's to cover and protect their face from the sun from burning/tanning. I was like WTF! Have they never heard of sunblock before?! First of all, What!? They actually like to have white paly skin that makes them look like ghosts? A tan can be a very good thing! Second, there's even anti-wrinkle creams available to prevent harsh UV rays from damaging their skin! Third, are they vampires that need immunity from the devasting sun? If that's the case, you mind as well cover your whole body with these tinted shield guards or else you'll die! Also, I heard this is why they wear gloves as well...

Apparently I have a major hatred towards these stupid things, but I don't know my reasons of completely why. I think if I looked from the Asian women's view of this invention, they think it's remarkable and just plain amazing. Maybe the latest trend/fad in their fashion apparel? However, I personally don't see the benefits of it and that other products (sunblock, anti-wrinkle cream, other cosmetic products, etc.) cannot perform just as well compared to the shield. Not to mention it looks stupid on anyone! If it's a fashion sense thing, OMG! That's straight nasty FOB fashion! I think this is in fact, one of the most stupidest/idiotic inventions I have ever seen and encountered!

Also, cops have a problem with limo tint on a car. Too dark to see what's going on or can cause driver visibility problems, etc. whatever the case maybe... can't you say the same for these face tint shields? They can hinder eye sight I bet. Also, cops need to see faces to identify criminals on the run and such. This totally covers their face! Shouldn't these be illegal or something? Which brings up my next thought.

I don't suggest this btw, but if you have criminal intent and about to do a crime, I guess this would be the perfect device for you to cover up your face. You can do the crime and nobody would have a clue of how you look. This covers probably better than wearing pantyhose over your head and even better than a cap, sunglasses, and a bandana over your face/mouth. Take like a bank robbery, nobody would be able to identify the suspect. Also, if you're a criminal on the run, it's good to wear cause people won't be able to see you while you drive/walk or on any location where the public is around. This makes it too easy to set up a crime with, and I think they should be BANNED!

Sidenote: This can probably be great for Poker. Nobody can read your face at all cause they can't see it. I think that's stupid and defeats the purpose and unsportsmanlike in the world that is poker. I can't imagine someone wining the World Series of Texas Holdem Poker wearing one of these things! Not to mention, down right hilarious seeing photos of the winner with it on and grabbing millions of $$$ with their hands at the last table!

Those are the reasons of why I hate and think these things should be destroyed off the top of my head. Anyone else agree/disagree? I'm willing to concur or debate this.

Also, if this gets trashed or dumpstered, I don't see why and would like to hear the reasons. I'm just expressing my point of view on an invention that I've seen. Also, I'm just using my judgment based upon experience of looking around the neighborhood (not my fault it's usually Asian women who wear these!) and I already said that I don't discriminate.

 

Yes... this has got to be the longest rant I have ever posted anywhere! It's worth it and I suggest you all read it just for kicks. I had to emphasize of how much hatred and the passion I have of anti-tinted face shields!
