Believe it or not, I know what Anarchism means, I just laughed at the irony of the statement when I was reading the story earlier.

Anarchism is an interesting concept, especially when compared with a mob mentality. Mobs generally don't have "leaders" per se, but the do tend to respond to someone telling them what they want to hear. For more illustration of this point, I would reccomend reading about Ancient Rome. Caeser's 10th Legion marched into Rome and gave the mob something to fear, that combined with obvious charisma gave birth to Rome's only dictator and the Empire that followed it.

Anarchism by its very nature is not a self sustaining cycle, nature abhors a vacuum and anarchism does not generally persist beyond small periods of time and is almost always perpetuated by small groups. Nature, while chaotic does have an underlying order.

I don't know that I agree with the idea that anarchism is not sustainable. A good example of an anarchist system is certain Native American tribes, which were actually quite prosperous. Anarchism has also been historically successful in numerous regions of Spain during the 20th century: the countryside of Andalusia, urban Catalonia (which included Spain's capital, Barcelona), and numerous other cities in which there were various systems of anarchism. Here's a good primer.

I'm going to stop now though, because I could go on and on about this forever. My personal political philosophy should be clear enough now anyway.
