i did some ebay sniping yesterday... finally got some oem rear footpegs for my bike. i entered by bid in the last couple seconds of the auction, but thats only because of my t1 throughput. if i had a modem, it would have been 4 seconds.

I freaking hate EBay. HATE IT>

acquaintance of mine.....I haven't gotten the strait dope yet but this is the general scope of it.

You guys know that with muscle cars there are the real deals...and there are the clones.

Well I think it's a superbird that he was after....or a superbee..can't remember. classic mopar. this guy sees this deal on Ebay. Goes...wow that's not bad. Gets a good deal on what is being advertised as...we'll say superbird...real deal..worth a crap load of money. Gets a good deal but still pays a crap load of money....he won't say how much...that's how much it was. stoked....waits. gets the car....one look.... ****. that is not a superbee. it was a freaking clone. guy did a half *** paint job clone of it. nice car...but not the real deal. Worth like half of what this guy paid. You could actually see where the outline for the original badges were.

what does Ebay do. kicks the guy of ebay. That's it.

I mean this is internet fraud. Of a huge scale. Across state lines. Federal offense. Nobody is helping this guy get his money back..he's pretty much screwed last I heard. If it was me I'd be filing federal charges with him.

so basically. I hate ebay. i have had nothing with problems with it myself.

but yeah...lesson learned from that...get the vin number people.

so yeah...if I want something bad enough I'll contact the seller with an offer.
when I see stuff on here or nasioc or what not with links to ebay...i close them right up. not worth it to me.

+1 for hating eBay. I go there if I have to find something specific I can't find anywhere else. If I really want slash need it, I have to stay up till .00023467534 seconds before the auction closes and hover over the right mouse button like all the other smock cokers that do that crap. Praise the Pharaohs for 45m T3s. I see eBay as a really ***** classifieds that is a comfy home for two kinds of people: internet ballbustahs who get off on pulling fast ones, and people that get had by internet ballbustahs who get off on pulling fast ones.

That said I did score my original TRD header for my old Yota for a really cheap price. It came with a few creatively stupid angry emails as well. I rated them and offered to send the winner my TRD sticker. Yay for stupid!

HOLY EBONICS BATMAN. That guy just made me ashamed to speak the English language.

"At MTI college, YOU TOO can get your degree in computer technology. It's quick and easy! You don't have to know anything about computers, or even like them! IN FACT, we'll guaruntee you a degree so you can start making big money, and you don't even have to touch a computer!"

"I got the certifications ABC and 123. It's easy as can be! Don't you see?"
