OMG!! Medic!!!....Medic!!!

Heroic female medic who ignored shrapnel embedded in her shoulder to save SEVEN soldiers during Taliban attack

I would let her perform triage on me anytime!

An heroic army medic treated seven injured comrades after a Taliban attack in Afghanistan despite being wounded with shrapnel herself, it emerged today.
Lance Corporal Sally Clarke, of 2 Rifles, ignored the searing pain caused by the shards embedded in her shoulder and back and set about treating the rest of her patrol.

That reminds me of that female A-10 pilot in the start of operation Iraqi freedom, got her plane hit by AA fire. Lost half a wing, the whole right tail assembly, right engine out, right fuel tank empty, hydrolic system out, her right leg was hit by shrapnel, right arm hit by same...

And she still flew it 40 miles back to her base and landed it in a textbook landing.

Women are just as capable as men in combat, I don't get why this country fights so hard to keep them out of the fight.

I believe a lot of that credit should go to the design of the A10.

Yeah, but there are also guys that belong no where near the front lines. I myself am pretty badass and can handle any situation thrown at me by logically figuring out the best route to take to win within a split second, but not everyone is like that.

The same could be said of another group of people as well.

Ive worked with alot of men who are morons too. Stupid people are stupid people, I dont think we need to further generalize them into groups such as race or gender.

During the interviews with her and her squad/flightmates some of the real veterans were shocked she got it home like she did as wounded as she was. Yes the A-10 is a flying tank, but a **** poor pilot would have crashed it.
