I don't have speakers on this PC, so I'm going off what I saw.
When did this happen?
Was a weapon found?
Why did it take the cops TWO MINUTES from first shots to respond?
Why would the cops release the dog AND start shooting at the same time?
BTW brucelee...the dog did not suffer.

you have to watch it with sound to be able to form a better opinion.
iirc the dog got away on accident from the k-9 officer and thats when everything got all nutty and everyone unloaded. there was no intention on releasing the dog at the time.
just rewatched the final scenes to it. quite tragic on both ends. dude is a pos. an officer dropped the ball when accidentally releasing the dog. and thats where everything goes to **** and everybody reacted and unloaded on the guy. i really dont think the number of times they shot the guy really matters. he was threatening to take down the dog which is a member of the police department. and at that very moment all of the officers on scene unloaded thinking that he was going to shoot the dog. with everyone gunning for you, you have to protect your own. poor dog. gosh. any dog > that pos any damn day.

I'm the driver...you're the gunman.
On the way out the bank with the loot, a guard shoots you, you shoot him, and you both die.
I get arrested a short time later and get not one, but two charges of murder filed against me.

Old video, recorded on VHS, years ago I believe.
No he did not have a weapon, but he threatened the cop with lines such as "If you shoot a bean bag, or send a dog after me, I'm going to shoot" Cops didn't know if he had a weapon or not, no weapon was found on his body (he tossed a flip flop at the dog, as the dog was about to pounce on him).
I have no clue after he got shot, why it took that long. They approached with a shield and guns drawn thinking he was still alive and even after they saw him, they still took caution (no gun in either hand or nearby the suspect).
Cops took it as he was pulling out a gun, and fired away. He was embracing himself for the dog to bite him. About 2-3 seconds it sounded like a war zone, and 81 shots were fired. 22 hit.

but again, why did the cop who left his dog in the car for 6 hours on a hot day, PURE NEGLECT, like, if a person did that to a child they'd for sure be charged, why did this cop not get charged with anything when the dog died due to his neglect?
Just saying, it's a complete double standard when the person responsible for the death of the animal is a cop vs a civilian.

my $0.02..they say "we're going to release the dog", guy says "if that dog comes at me I'm going to shoot it and everything".
Gun shots rang out, then after shots start the dog jumps on him...dude gets capped...dog gets capped. WTF?
why release the dog after the gun shots...F-ing dumb and those limp di*ks should be held liable not for the POS guy but for the dog....down right lame, and a perfect waste of tax dollars to teach/raise/train that animal...aside from being stupid for releasing the dog after shots are fired.
FYI- this vid is really old.

2. The number of times they shot the guy does matter. You can re-create the same dog many times in your lifetime (more or less). Can't say the same thing about the person.
3. You are projecting the image that you are below a dog. Please start eating dog food.

1. The dog is bread for this, and he is NOT part of the police department as it's an animal. The dog is an asset just like the orange cones they put on the roads.

In many jurisdictions the intentional injury or killing of a police dog is a felony,[1] subjecting the perpetrator to harsher penalties than the statutes embodied in local animal cruelty laws. A growing number of forces outfit dogs with bulletproof vests (and some even go so far as to make the dogs sworn officers, with their own police badges and IDs. Furthermore, a police dog killed in the line of duty is often given a full police funeral.

I strongly believe the video and sound are off, because you can hear what sounds like gun shots, then he tosses whatever he had in his hand the same time the dog comes into view. Then you see ricochet and bullets hitting the house.
Either way, It shouldn't have went down the that way. Dog didn't have to die, and even thought the guy was asking to be shot, shouldn't have test the officers patience.
He was saying something about his beezy being in the hospital and if she dies from a miscarriage then he's dying from bullets..... what was that all about?
And he makes no sense "look, i didn't show no gun, but if dat dog come at me i'm shooting you motha****as"
Pointing out that you didnt show a gun but saying your gonna "shoot *********as" in the same sentence.... fail
