I used to consider myself a pretty sharp & tech savvy dude, but I guess I'm finally "getting" old and need some tech help. I'm gonna take a shot here before putting myself at the mercy of the tech forums cuz I know a few out there have the same phone as me (AT&T Tilt) If someone can help me out, i'd appreciate it!

Basically, I wanna know how to....

1. Post pics taken on my Tilt's cam
I assume that I need to upload them to a pic host like when posting from a regular comp, but since I can't copy & paste, how do I add the links to the pics??

2. Hotlink existing pics from sites (that allow hotlinking of course)
Again, can't copy & paste, so how do I post the pic links? PLEASE don't tell me that I have to type the entire address for each pic link!

does your phone have a sd card? or a usb cable? if you do you can use either of those to upload to your pc and then upload from there. Not sure as i dont have your phone and my phone does pretty much what my pc does as for copy paste or uploading etc. if you can get it to your pc you dont have to use a host site like photobucket cus you can add attachments here in advanced settings from your pc.

 

Actually, this brings up a question I have, I HATE the "mobile" version of i-club, is there any way to turn this off? I would MUCH rather have a normal web view of the site, as I do with NASIOC...I think the mobile version is maybe a bit easier to read, but it's much harder to respond to and I don't get any images.

+1, bluetooth works as well if you have it on your computer

 

my Tilt has a micro sd card & also usb connectivity.

but i forgot to mention that i'm trying to post pics taken with my phone to forums, twitter (don't have one yet but will), etc FROM MY PHONE (w/out uploading the pics from phone to comp)

also, my Tilt technically does have copy & paste ability but only in certain functions (copying/cutting/moving files) i haven't figured out how to copy & paste text. i'm not certain, but i'm thinking it's not possible.

Yeah the mobile version here sucks butt.. i have asked many times for them to shut it off but not much of a response. We actually have a thread going on in another forum here about it. They said they updates they did changed it and they cant change it until there is a mobile update. Few years back we were able to actually view the site just like on a pc but that has change majorly and yeah we cant see pics on here. :/ Basically they said nothing much they can do until another update comes out.

 

I was just trying to offer another solution to uploading them. Since there are issues here with mobile side i always use the pc to upload them. I guess wait to find out from people who actually have them phone to help you more.

 

thx 4 chiming in too, pactin, but like i just edited.....trying to post pics directly with my phone & w/out uploading them to a comp first.

i know my buds w/iPhones can post pics to their blogs, forums, twitter, etc. i think blackberries can do it too. i must be missing something. my Tilt is a couple years old, but there's gotta be some way to do this. it's a pretty feature packed device.

Assuming you can send emails from your phone you can use flickr or something similar. They have a unique email address that you can send your pics to and then it uploads to the internet.

Yeah i dont see why your phone wont let ya do it.. my palm treo is like 3 years old and i can do it. Maybe its just something you are missing.. Have you tried to google your phone and see what it says about uploading pics?

 

thx guys....i'm beat & gonna call it a night, but i'll check out the Flickr method that Boosted suggested tomorrow. i think the method of pic posting for the iPhone and my Tilt is different, but i can send emails from phone....it's actually a pda like a bberry or treo, so i can send emails from it. i guess i'll use the Flickr method if I have to....sounds pretty simple from the glance i took at the link Boosted gave.

dang all these newfangled gizmos. when i forget how to work my vcr......err, Tivo/dvr, then i will really know i'm losing it! lol

 

i tried out Flickr and was able to upload pics taken with my phone, but i still can't post em elsewhere on the Net.

there's supposed to be 2 mobile phone pic posting options on Flickr.....

i've tried this but can't retrieve the links for the pics i uploaded. they're supposed to appear under your pics when you click on them, but they're not coming up for me.

and where are you TILT guys? i remember seeing a few other dudes w/them in cell related thread a lil while ago.
