Even though it will drain out of the filter, some oil can still drip. My E46 was the same way, except you just unscrew the can and replace the cartridge. I thought it would leak too, but you just need to be careful when taking it off.
iv actually never changed oil before,
thats why i was asking in the first place,
but cool that some of you wanna make fun of me for trying to learn... fek c*unts

It is just the way people are on this forum, but there's a lot of good info too. You'll get used to it if you stick around here and see that it doesn't mean anything.
