Just an update - I bought the 2008-2014 STI (MMOC-STI-08) for my 2012 STI and tried installing it..

Doesn't work, the stock STI has a coolant / oil cooler and it protrudes all the way down and it's impossible to fit the thermostatic plate (no space of the hoses). Mishimoto may not have tested this thing on an STI..

Brackets and everything else fit though..
