The east side of run 1 is rather long and fun, and number 8 is pretty good too, in terms of length... Nothing like say going down mt. lincoln at sugar bowl or down from top to bottom of Northstar, but still its alot cheaper...

exactly

and as far as north star goes, I used to think it was awesome until i went to the larger resorts, and now i think north is a good resort, but it lacks the big mountain feeling
all the runs are pretty easy and laid back, but its good for goin with people who don't board really well

don't know why you're always so defensive about your alpine meadows max, but whatever floats your boat. i'm not too picky about where i go, i usually end up going to northstar with my pops because we learned to ride there and.. well i don't know we just always have a good time there. i get altitude sickness pretty easily, so its a good place for me.

i was thinking about buying the double whammy pass because for $220 for young adult is about 5 trips, and i easily go to northstar more than that. i've been to sierra twice, but i enjoyed the mountain both times so i'd like to go there more. i don't get to south lake too often, so that would be cool.

does anyone knwo of a website that shows all the seasons pass deals available for the tahoe area? i'm too lazy to go to all the websites of the resorts, haha.

because its the best evar, not the most expensive tickets and i can still get away for being under 18
plus right now you can get a season pass for 200 bucks at alpine :P
if i was around this winter i'd be all over that

Alpine's pretty good, but it's not the best place in Tahoe. First of all, too many little kids. Too much flat areas that require traversing. The runs are good and they have a lot of terrain. I've been to every resort in Tahoe, except Diamond Peak and Donner and I'll say Kirkwood is my Fav. I wish it was bigger though, something about the size of Heavenly would be good!

daredevil ur a noob. northstar has some of the most diverse boarding in tahoe. they have brand new park staff that last year put together the best park in tahoe besides maybe its sister resort sierra. they have tons of trees. if you dont want to hit kids you can hit the backside (all black diamonds) or lookout mountain.. oh wait you probably cant hold onto the towing rope to get to the top after the pioneer lift. haha noob

sorry i forgot your all old haha.. you guys dont like to hit parks and fall cuz your so brittle and ***** like .

EDIT: WHAT you cant call people pussies?

if anyone is into park riding post please cuz i dont like just going straight down runs it gets boring quick. i need to be gettin some AIR YO. aight peace

A little OT - or is it? My new set from TireRack.com should arrive within a week from the Reno warehouse. They are Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2s ($40 rebate through 31-Dec) and will go onto a second set of WRX rims.

Caltrans and the CHP usually allow AWD vehicles to pass the chain checkpoints, but if conditions are bad they look at the condition of the tires. I've seen them even do this at night, walking to each corner of the vehicle and using a flashlight.
