The niners need to pick up everything of their game.
The defense is playing horrible. I expect way more of them.
I feel Smith is our best choice, O-line needs stop being dumbasses and getting stupid fouls. We beat ourselves almost every game with the penalties and turn overs.

Things that are wrong with the 49ers...
#1 QB, well no ****.
#2 O-line has rookies, might take 'em a year to get settled in... but I've been worse O-lines. QBs have to get rid of the ball and move around (still wished we picked up Vick for this scenario)... gimme N. Davis, or give him a shot. Gimmie A. Luck
#3 Defensive Coordinator, got the linemen, got the linebackers, got crap QB rush.
#4 No stud corner back that can cover. Clements can hit, but he sucks in coverage. Not all entirely the DBs fault... (lack of pass rush will make any secondary look bad).
#5 Singletary must be blind. Dump Morgan, put in Zeigler (the dude has Fitzgerald catching ability) if the 49ers lose Zeigler to a diff team (like they've lost many back up guys who became stars on other teams) it's their fault.

When the offense sucks, it creates a domino effect with the rest of the team. Defense doesn't get enough rest, they'll miss tackles and aren't as fresh to get around blocks and what have you.

One can hope...
You wouldn't be putting in 100% either if your offense was killing your games. We held New Orleans DOWN but the offense couldn't pull the trigger - that right there, makes you not want to play to the best of your ability just to see another 'L'.
Keep dreaming, though that IS what needs to happen.
