I was able to get it to 4.3 GHz at 54 C running Prime95 max heat torture test. The FX-4100 can run safely up to 62 C so I may push a little more.
I also just ordered some new faster ram.

Yep. Exactly that. Cuts down on boot time.
If you're a baller you get you OS and some games on a SSD. Gaming on an SSD is AMAZING. Loading screens are non-existent.
Remember, SSDs are most efficient when they are at less than half capacity. An SSD will slow down when it is full of data.

Yeah OS plus 2 or 3 games maybe for a 128GB.
My 250GB non-pro might need to get replaced with a bigger one later on when I get free time to start playing with VM's. Unfortunately, 500GB+ SSD's are hard to fit in budget builds LOL!

From one headache to the next! My ASRock mb had a faulty 4th ram slot so I switched it out for an msi z77 gd65 to get 16gb of ram. I went into the bios and was happy to see the 16gb of ram and I got it working last night. This morning it wqs unable to connect to the interwebs. Apparently this is a large problem with this mb and I have no idea how to fix it. Tried a few things but its irritating! Should I RMA both boards or just get a new MB?

I get error code 10 this device cannot start. People say that taking out standoffs will fix this but I'm afraid of ruining the motherboard. Not sure if I could pull this one off but I'm gonna try this last thing. If it doesn't work I'm just gonna get a new motherboard that doesn't have any problems out if the box.

Ahh ok. Well I already removed the standoff and am going to throw the motherboard back in. Given the very slim possibility that this works, I should be set, but it is very likely I will be shooting you a PM later or tomorrow.
Alright, so the stand offs were actually the problem. I removed the 2 closest to the ethernet slot and voila. It worked. Glad to have my 16gb of ram and computer working properly again! Thanks for offering to help Kevo
We're the stand offs under a screw hole? I haven't seen a stand off cause a short when placed properly, if they were in the right spot that sounds like a bad pcb design lol.
Nope, they were not under the screw hole. Not sure what exactly the problem is, but a lot of people with the same board were having the problem. I was really skeptical, but that was actually it. And yeah, must be a bad design. I'm surprised MSI would actually ship out so many boards with such a problem. Bad testers or no testers, I guess.
