The OFFICIAL Overhead "SUBARU" Shot from BAM XI (drumrollllllllll)
The (not very) long-awaited and (overly) anticipated overhead "SUBARU" shot from BAM XI. I've put off school work, paid work, and family and social obligations to provide you guys with this shot in a timely manner. Hope you enjoy!
Big thanks to all of those that helped make this happen: I don't know the username of the guy that helped measure, calculate, and tape with his son on Saturday, along with everyone on the ground on Sunday controlling traffic and the cooperation of you guys!
Downloads and prints are available from the gallery if you click on the image. Prints will NOT have the watermark on them.
Unfortunately it has some readability issues due to the wide-angle distortion at the ends and relatively low angle I had to shoot at. If we decide to undertake this project again next year we have a few trick to help increase readability, but they will take even more effort and cooperation, so we'll see. These ideas (mine atleast) include increasing the space between the S-U and R-U by 25-50%, a slight tweak to the B letterform, and trying to do solid colored letters.

I really didn't want to rebuild the parts of the cars next to it that would have been "uncovered" by moving that bottom one. If it happens next year that bottom right car on the R will have to go off of the grid to make it fit optically.
