Official Headlight Painting Day Thread

OK, after much talk with no follow through I decided to grab the bull by the horns (its a metaphor) .

I can't discuss too much in this thread due to forum rules, but I am hoping for a location to come through between SF and San Jose so it is close to everyone. You can choose any color for your headlights and may opt to have new parking LED and amber blinker bulbs swapped in at the time of painting (you purchase these bulbs on your own prior to the meet day).

Realistically 4-5 cars a day are possible, any more than this and it will have to be carried over to the next day.

Please use this thread to express interest and voice opinions. PM me for all other questions

The date is tentatively set for Friday, January 16th or Saturday, January 17th, depending on the feedback in this thread.

Lets make this happen!

I've been thinking about painting mine flat black, or at least just removing the amber thing. I just ordered an HID kit and going to pick up TSX projectors this week.

I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do so I can do it all at once

I'm definitely interested, I've been wanting this mod ever since I saw it.

What is it about the forum rules that makes you watch what you say about this?

Could be both. Each is a different situation.

This isn't just a "I'm in" type of thing, I have another i-clubber traveling in from Modesto who has done this before and is totally confident of his skills. Those who are serious about doing this should contact me so I can fill them in on the details that they need to know before committing themselves.

I don't want 10 "yeah I'll be there for sure"s, have him travel 3 hrs and 2 cars actually show up.

Sam, thanks for trying to host, your place would be perfect, near the freeway and a big driveway. Not to mention a fun drive up to your place haha.

amen, should be a straightforward process anyways. We'll be able to do it pretty quick.

If anyone has any minor installs, we can probably field that too, just to get some more folks to show for sure.

I know the guy he's talking about, seems like he does good work. I couldn't make my schedule fit with his but this sounds like a fine thing to do.
