There's a few grey areas in the rules. If one wants to have side vegetables they need to do it on the spot. Got it. But what if a sauce calls for a vegetable ingredient that may require blending, sauteing in advance? Can the contestant bring a squirt bottle of the pre-made sauce?

You can do anything you want as long as Chicken and Garlic are involved, if you need to pre-blend ingredients, you can... You cannot cook or prepare anything for plating until the day of the event!
