Ooooh. last week of august. That's a rough one. Schools start to go back in session. It's a pretty standard time of year for EVERYONE that has kids to go on vacation. Lots of people gone that time of year or revving up to go back to school
It's the weekend after my birthday so I don't know if I'll be in town. If I am, I'm sure I'll wonder out. Probably WAY early so I can have some fun and not have to sit in a 2 hour line to get in the joint.
So...the sponsors gonna man up and kick down some decent door prizes this year.

just seems to me that with the vendors we have in the bay area there should be some sick prizes for car show winners and a drawing or something. Do tickets. like 2 tickets per paid entry. Then sell them for a couple bucks a piece with a max purchase number so people don't go and buy 100 of em and win everything.
Seriously....
just off the top vendors and ideas....
subydude...wheels/shortshifter, etc.
GST...Tuning time. labor time.
Crucial....Springs, downpipe, etc.
Ed...tuning. AP2, etc.
tirerack....tires
shirts, hoodies, hats, reach arounds..etc
etc etc etc.
it's good for us. it's a write off for them...at FULL retail price. And they get mad love from us for kicking down.
get a couple magazines out there...they can give away subscriptions.
etc.
car show...more than one winner this year please. Have a vendors choice, an attendie vote for one. Best sedan. Best wagon. With 3-400 cars it seems a few could be found.

I don't have much to 'give'. But I can be the judge for the smelliest car award and give away a free Dry Fog Odor Removal service.

it's stuff like this that I'm talking about though. The free service would STOKE someone out and help you spread word of your business.
I just can't understand vendor getting involved with things like this and not taking the opportunity to hook people up and create new fanboys.
