Yeah that was very shocking. It's like they stopped making watches and started playing!

Spain better man up in their next match or that's it for them. All those shots and shots-on-goal and not ONE goal.
Tomorrow should be a good one ,France vs. Mexico , Argentina vs. S. Korea.

Funny I find myself cheering on Mexico and South Korea for those games tomorrow. I could see some justice in the French going out in the group stages seeing as they are lucky to be there in the first place.

See that's the problem about soccer in this country. Still not enough exposure and people are ignorant or want to be ignorant against it. Although it has gotten more exposure the past couple of years, more so now with the World Cup.
I grew up playing football in the Philippines and have always liked the sport. I'm lucky that my daughter picked up on it and has been playing since she was 5 (12 now). She's getting to know the sport even better at her age. We go to a couple of Earthquake games and we've been following the FC Gold Pride in the WPS since last year, their inaugural season. They even offer game day and off game day camps which she has attended. Then we have the US women's team that's been top of the heap for the past few years.
Having the women's league makes it even more interesting for my daughter as she aspires to be one of them and will still play football no matter how far she goes with it.
I think it will just get better and better here as people get more exposure to the sport.

Mike, I'm rooting for Mexico too. Although I'd like to see underdogs South Korea (and Park Ji Sung) win, I think the firepower of Argentina may be too strong for them.
We'll see.
