Mazzaro, Taylor, and Carter all sent down to the Minors
This leaves Gonzalez and Cahill as the two people competing for the 5th starter spot.I think they'll both make the opening day roster with one of them going to the bullpen. I hope Cahill gets the job. He's most deserving with the effort he put in last year...
Regardless all 3 send downs will be seen in the majors this year. I'm excited to see Taylor and Cater though. They are both two big bats that we've been missing for awhile.

So are any of y'all trying to meet up for Sat's game vs. the Giants? I'm likely out this time since my plans look to be shaping up for a day of snowboarding, but I'll keep my finger on the pulse of this thread throughout the season for any i-club A's games.

My friend and I just bought tickets earlier today for the Opening Day game vs the Mariners. We are planning on heading out there during the day to tailgate in the lot before the game. It would be cool if we can meet up with other people as well.

Cust looks to be a bit bitter about being replaced...

I feel bad for Cust too, but he's not going to get nearly as many ABs this year if Chavez is healthy. I think it's best that he does clear waivers and gets regular playing time with the Rivercats. That way if Chavez gets injured, Cust will have his bat warm.
Buck makes roster as well. I like Buck a lot and hopefully he'll get enough playing time to be the 4th OF. He had a great spring and you can't really deny that he should be a starter with a lot of bad luck. Kind of like Crosby...
Powell dropped which is a bit surprising.
