Now that I've got the autocross bug...

...I need some help!

Btw...this is all thanks to Mazda's RevItUp event (http://www.mazdarevitup.com) that I attended today. Talk about fun!

Anyway...I'm just looking over the SCCA local classifications, rules and regulations and it's making me crosseyed!

Basically...I'm totally new at this...and my car's current mod list looks like this:

17" rims with 225/45/17 tires
Catless exhaust, very quiet though
Whiteline Rear sway bar

What classes do you guys run in, and what class would I fit into (and is a newbie welcome in that class)? Any helpful links or advice would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance!

edit: More reading leads me to believe that I could run in STX as long as I put one cat back (the 3rd?) because of this line:

Multiple catalytic converters may be replaced by a single unit, provided the single unit is within six inches of the original primary unit. The resultant configuration must meet Federal emissions standards at normal vehicle operating temperature.
Or am I stuck in some crazy Prepared or Modified class...
