The numbers aren't important, it's the powerband I have, and all the power under the curve with this setup. I do plan on a GT35R though, with a bigger A/O separator than the Prova I use, later this year, or early next year. I would rather run like 22-23psi with a GT35R than 30psi with the 30R. Longer turbo life.
psh... thats nothing my td04 with 91oct smokes you...lol

Its all about the curves for sure and on that dyno those numbers arent bad at all. Im at 31psi on the stock turbo so I hear you on the turbo life thing, but the instant tq is kind of worth it. Something you might not wanna give away going to a 35r, not to mention a well built 30R shouldnt have a problem with 30psi if you take care of it.

Actually, the cool thing about my setup, is that if I did switch to a 35R, I could actually do a few things: I would be able to reduce spool-up time even further by having Miles modify the existing tune/boost map, and probably end up with a 35R that hits 150-200rpm sooner than this current boost map, AND make about 30-40 more whp, and wtq than I am now, ANNNNND hold it to redline with no drop-off in volume since it's a 35R. All while pushing about 22-23psi. Only reason I can say these things are true, is because the black 06 STi that will be at BAM along with mine, is very very similar to my setup, and he also had to move to a GT35R from a 30R due to high flowing heads. His dyno is ridiculous. His GT35R makes power to redline, and he is making like 300wtq by about 3400rpm. Luckily our 2.5L motors, and reversed intake mani's with shorter FMIC piping spool GT35R's damn quick. If only you had a Subaru......but it's ok we still love you even though you rock a DSM.

He should be, since you guys have a fat caravan set up for BAM. You better caravan with them Nick....OR ELSE!

Update, I probably won't get there until 9:45-10am, but that's still ok since it won't take long to set everything up, as long as there isn't crazy wind like last year while setting up the pop-up tent.

Ahh that makes sense and is cool, I would say Im jealous however I dont think I need a suby or 2.5liters to compete. My car now makes 300ft lbs at 3500rpm, and 400ft lbs by 4400rpm, while still on the stock turbo, stock head, stock motor, stock ecu. Theres a nice little stock turbo looming in the winds as well that should easily net me another 60whp, while holding it till redline, and making the same tq or more with much less boost and holding it longer. Couple that with my car weighs 2980 wet, and my gearing is a bit better then yours, I would say that Im doing just fine in the power department as that should make for a easy 10sec daily driven car thats running basically all stock stuff on gas thats $2.50gal. For reference I ran a 12.2@115mph with 312whp and 289tq into the wind at infineon. I see no reason why the car cant go 11.2@120 the way it sits now, let alone with more power. Its been nice not dealing with the ecu, and big turbo kits as I have also been able to stuff 285's under it(with room to spare) with custom valved Ohlins coilovers as well, so its a decently well rounded car that rides and drives great... Just a little loud due to the muffler delete and no cat.

I wish I still had money left over to replace the Ohlins Sportlines I got 3 years ago, with some Motons, with 580lb/in front springs, and ~480lb/in rear springs. I'd worry less about fitting the 265's when my 255's are done, but who knows, with all the modding done to my fenders, it may still work up to 265. For anything wider than 265 I'd definitely need taller ride height, slightly firmer springs, and compression adjustment......or a widebody kit bleh. I'm still confused as to why Ohlins couldn't see fit to give compression adjustment on the original Ohlins Sportlines for STi's.

Yeah I'm glad my suspension is set. For me to swap to something better at this point would cost me far too much money to justify with just picking up tenths. I'm also kind of ready for a different project as I'm pretty happy with the Evo right now. Next toy I wanna trap 140+ an make look semi sleeper.

Lies. I'm sure there's guys with track-only evo's/sti's in sonoma county that are lighter, have better suspension, etc. Ours are straddling the line between streetable and track-only, with Steve's evo a little further over the line than mine. I like having my full interior, and no roll cage......for now.
