Paul, I know what you and your family is going through. I was there myself two years ago. Do contact Hospice as soon as possible. They are good at making a cancer patient as comfortable as possible. Ask your mother what her wishes are and get a medical power of attorney so that the family can make the medical decisions if she is no longer able to. Hospice should have the forms. My prayers are with you. Bill

I can't make this run. It is my birthday this weekend and I have to give my kids a chance to come home and laugh at me. Have a good run everyone. Have fun. Be safe.

Thanks Bill, we'll miss you on the drive.

Go everyone look for the group in the back of the cheese factory.

ATTENTION ALL SOUTH BAY FOLKS...
San Marin Dr DOES NOT have a gas station along it. The best place for you to re-fuel is in Novato still. But take the "Bel Marin Keys / Nave Dr" exit. Right off the Highway is a Shell station. And then just get back on the Highway north.

Got the tires on the car and can't wait till Sunday.

But lets bring up the food question. Here are your options. Please speek your piece on the subject.

1) Bring a packed picnic type lunch and stop at the Sonoma Lake Dam Park at the end of Skaggs Rd. Lots of parking etc...

2) Drive into santa Rosa for a little Chinese , pizza , Burgers etc..

3) Just bring snacks and eat whenever we get home etc...

Number three would not be cool for the south bay guys unless they bring plenty of snacks. But i could do any of them.

point A: i like the park idea because i can bring some wine and we can look at cars while relaxing in the sun (if it's sunny)

point B: Not everyone knows how to pack a good picnic lunch and maybe a resturant is the way to go.

point C: when i drive i rarely get hungry. It's not till i stop that i realize i'm starving.

i'm thinking that a picnic lunch (weather permitting) sounds pretty damn good.

i vote for:

2) Drive into santa Rosa for a little Chinese , pizza , Burgers etc..

1 is too much trouble.

3 - i would starve if i didn't eat real solid food, & not just snacks

I sort of agree with #2 also, although if it was a very nice sunny day then I would be down for a picnic. Then again, that means that I would have apples and soda rolling around in my back seat ...
