North Bay coast & mountain Drive: Sun FEB 8th

I'm putting together another drive for Febuary 7th (saturday) morning to afternoon. Who wants to come?

I'll be driving part of it tomorrow to make sure that this one road is a "through road" before finalizing the route. But we'll meet at the Cheese Factory on Point Reyes / Petaluma Rd Saturday morning around 10:00am

It'll be no coastal back roads switching back on each othe until we get up tp Stewart pt / Skaggs Springs Rd before coming back to Hwy 101. Further details along with mileage & time will be posted this weekend to mid next week at the latest.

just sound off who's in

The road will be driven very quick along twistie back, back roads. i don't expect all of you to survive. but if you are up to the challange please let me know. hehhehe

(LATE NOTICE FOLKS. THE DRIVE IS BEING MOVED TO SUNDAY THE 8TH INSTEAD)

Skaggs Springs is awsome. I can't go though. Gotta work on Saturdays. That route you planned is a good one. I have driven on most of the Sonoma and Marin county coastal roads. Have fun and don't crash.

Damn Rich,

The North Bay crew is damn good at planning drives on weekends that track events are scheduled for. There is a event at sears/infineon on the 6/7th and another event on the 7/8th.

Oh yeah, the last time I was on the boards, you were biotching bout the removing the stickers from your car and some drama shiz like that.

Peace,
Kevin

Oooooooooooooh... Skaggs. Man. Pleasant memories. I find myself fantasizing about that road more often on any given day than I do about sex. That road is the first place I ever scrubbed my toe while riding. It felt so odd, I glanced down and realized that all I had to do was stick my knee out a little bit and I'd be sliding on pucks too... Only, I didn't have any pucks on, so I didn't.

Enough reminiscing, if this happens on Sunday the 8th (and early enough on Sunday) then I'll try and make it. Don't move the date for my sake though, because it's very possible that the day before the drive I'll have to flake out on it. It all depends on what real life things pop up for me to handle.

There are some awesome roads on the way up to Skaggs, so I'm sure this drive will rock.

If nothing pops up, then a the 8th will work out just fine. I don't have to work that day. I just have to make sure the honeydo's are done and I can go. Also, I have to make sure that my sick mother doesn't need my support that day. But so far, that day would work for me.

Bushido,

You're great at picking days I can't go!!

Definitely can't do Sunday 8th February BUT might be able to do Saturday 7th February.

Alternately, how about Saturday 31st January? I have to be in Marin that evening for a concert anyway ...

I may consider going IF someone in the south bay (San Jose) wants to caravan up. It's a long & boring drive up.
