Depends on what kind of rider you are
If you love steeps, chutes cliffs and the like, Kirkwood has it Northstar doesn't.
If you prefer intermediate to advanced level groomers, a few occasional bumps and some good tree skiing, Northstar doesn't suck, although the crowds there sometimes do- mostly at the base area though, it's never so bad up on the mountain or over on the back sides.
Sugar Bowl has a good mix of both types of terrain, but sometimes suffers the crowds as well.
But this weekend, for steep and deep- you'd better head to Kirkwood

Depends on your circumstances. If you are in a family who want a friendly atmosphere and no surprises, Flatstar is perfect. If you are intermediate/advanced and want more challenge - and usually more snow, Kirkwood is the better bet.
Pillowball: why vote for Kirkwood when you have never been to Northstar? For all you know it may be perfect for you (although it probably isn't
