Who went to kirkwood yesterday(saturday 2-14)? I went and the snow was incredible. Saw many Subies and wondered how many were from i-club.

Kirkwood sucks, Hwy 88 sucks!!

My car broke down in Pine Grove (outside of Jackson) two weeks ago. AAA wanted $700 to tow it back to San Jose because I didn't want some toothless hillbilly working on it Actually the people in Pine Grove are very nice and helpful

Thumbs up

Kirkwood's the ****!! It's just takes a looong *** time to get there. Definitely my favorite mountain in Tahoe. I was at Sugarbowl yesterday and it was great. There was a lot of groomed runs and the snow held an edge like a motha Fast as hell.

what don't ya like about k-wood? the handful af times i've been there have been SWEEEEEET! what do i need to be aware of the next time i go? i agree that the drive on 88 can blow depending on the weather. but then again, i've also grown accustommed to the 2-lane action of hwy 4 to bear valley, so i don't miss the wide-open action of I-80 or most of 50 when i get my shred on. oh, and was it your subie that let ya down in pine grove? and what was the outcome of that particular adventure?

The "Wood" is the Foshizzle! I love that place. I did donuts in the parking lot one snowy afternoon That's an awesome mountain. 88 can be quite fun to drive if you don't run into trouble. There is a certified Subaru shop in Jackson.

I have my season pass to Kirkwood this year, its a Subie heaven, she likes to hang out with all her friends all day and play in the snow. Kirkwood is by far my favorite place to board.
Was anyone there when they closed 88 for a helicopter to pick up people from an accident?

ouch......"AAA Plus" is the isht.....with 100 mile towing....I had to have my truck (for those of you that know how big my truck is) towed to Fremont from Dixon one time on my way home from Tahoe...my Tranny self destructed on the freeway. Didnt cost me a dime.....except I had to squish into the cab of a flatbed car carrier with a large, way overweight, smelly tow truck driver and 2 other friends of mine for 2 hours, while we drove home.

The 100 mile towing is well worth it tho, esp. knowing that a tow would have cost me 3 arms, a leg, and 4 fingers LOL
