"The White House has hired actor Kal Penn as a liaison between President Barack Obama's administration and Asian constituents. White House spokesman Shin Inouye said Tuesday that the actor who had a recurring role on Fox's TV show "House" and has starred in several movies would join the staff as an associate director in the Office of Public Liaison."

The part I don't understand is this, "His role will be to connect Obama with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities, as well as arts groups." Do Asian-Americans/Pacific Islander/arts groups not speak English or something? And what do those three groups have in common?

i read he will make between 42k-91k since that is what people in similar positions make. Also very iconic that this news breaks out after what happens to him in the last episode of House.
hmm arnold has been one of the most successful politicatians since 2005/2006 when he started working with the democraps on some issues... plus lots of people are so green now they like him even more... california usually sets an example on many issues and the rest of the states usually follow us(like our harsh car emissions laws, etc.)
