Damn after seeing 2 major meets get busted and over 20 cars getting reffed. I hate to say and admit this, but it seems like car meets are just wayyy too dangerous for anyone to go to. Even though the "other" meets have been relatively cop-free (ie UCKK meets, Coco meets, Barnes & noble meets, etc), the Wingstop meet was relatively a safe meet for a long time and the recent SF meet was supposedly safe, but nonetheless they got BUSTED.
This sucks major ***, especially since car meets are what bring Subaru friends together and we cause no major problems. Cops don't really care what are our purpose and intention of going to these meets.
I used to frequent the Coco meets (until I had to move down to Santa Cruz for school) and after seeing these two major events occur, I won't be going to any meets any time soon.
It's really unfortunate but I got to say, that I think some meets need to shut down or lay low for a good while. What do you guys think?

Damn this is crazy. Every other thread in this section is about people getting pulled over for a catback and getting reffed.
I miss home so much but this is the only reason I don't mind being in Texas. Besides the fact that it sucks major ***, I don't have to be worried about getting a ticket for my **** every single time I'm driving.
Owning a modified import in NorCal seems like more trouble than its worth.

I think when I can get into the groove of trading in my car for a Tribeca.. Then waiting a little while and trading in her STI that I get to drive for a bit in for a Smart Car or a Lotus..

i'll still goto meets. it doesn't take long to install ur stock cat-back back in then install your aftermarket one again, plus it's fun to me. if you got mods under the hood though, that's another story, cops in rohnert park/santa rosa area don't care at all.. I got pulled over for driving over the speed limit and he didn't even care about me smelly catless tbh... and he didn't give me a ticket. i guess a lot of you guys live in crappy citys where cops are gay about subies and other racing cars..
Dude,
There is nothing wrong in having a meet. If you don't want to risk it, that's your decision to make, but don't make out the past two busts as if all meets are going to be this way.
UCKK, which i frequented for like the past 6 years, is pretty damn clean. We don't cause issues, we are patrons... UC now has real shootings and stabbings, so cops are little more busy nowadays anyways.

I know for a fact that cops are indeed aware of the Coco meets and the cops are also aware of the UCKK meets, it's just going to be an opportunity to pull over good people like us.
