no love for the new subies?
agreed.
i always try to determine if i should say hello first. because some people look at me like im a retard (not saying i'm not one normally). i think it's because we aren't sure if the new school suby owners are down with the whole subaru community culture n stuff that a lot of the previous generation owners have developed a passion for, or if they even understand that when we wave. also subaru has recently been trying to market itself as an every-man's car now, instead of the past where they really focused on niche markets. this broadens the branding and now subaru owners span the spectra of society.

Yeah I throw V's up all the time. Half the time people think I'm throwing some gang sign or some ish and just bounce out without a reply or any acknowledgment.
The other half respond back. It just depends on the driver I guess.
Hey even EVO drivers throw me V's!

Haha I noticed the same thing. All '07 and older subies have ignored me or given me a blank stare. Heck, a few times the stare even seem to be insulting / stare down or something - but I only noticed this from certain drivers (younger ones wearing sideways baseball caps).
Maybe it's the GR looks, or maybe because I look like an asian teenager, or both?
Other GR STi owners, though, they at least give a V, or they did not see me.
Too bad, I don't see a whole lot on the road.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot about the one '07 WRX that chatted with me at a gas station.

Oh and GD6 is the USDM code for the 1st gen RS' I believe. The GC8 is the JDM version that most people say.
