i feel like most of you guys are driving around giving each other the thumbs up, givin the Vs, seeing each other, and having a grand ol' time being buddies.

but i haven't seen anyone respond to my thumbs and Vs! well, there was one 08 one and a guy in a previous-gen wagon that i literally had to roll by at 2mph and stare at. and even then it was like pulling teeth. all i could get was a very forced, minimal nod.

maybe i'm just hanging out in the wrong parts of the bay, or maybe there's no love for the new model WRXs? or maybe i'm blind and can't see you guys respond.

i must find a responder...

 

I gots lots of love for the new Impreza! If you were in the North Bay I'd probably give you the thumbs up, but you probably wouldn't be giving me the thumbs up 'cause I'm only driving a lowly Forester XT

I always throw up the V, but seems like most of the people in the South Bay don't give the GM6 any love.

 

I put up the "V" or do the head nod when I see pretty much any Impreza based Subaru. New or old model. Foresters, Outbacks and others I don't tend to unless they are putting it up for me first.

 

i try to give the thumbs to any impreza i can notice. i'd respond to a Forester. i just don't initiate anything with drivers of other Subie models cuz i'm not sure if they care or know what i'm trying to say. but i'd definitely respond if i saw something

90% of the time I give the V or something I get a blank stare... or they try to race....

 

So that's the reason I get no love from the Imprezas. Damn FXT is like driving around a minivan...

once i opened my window at a stoplight and said SUP really loud. and they looked at me like i was chubaka... it was a wrbwrx. =[

are ur windows tinted?? maybe they just cant see u lol i throw V's up to any suby that i suspect knows about the scene. even if its a regular wrx, i still look at the driver, if they dont acknowledge, then they aint in it.

my windows aren't tinted. i think maybe the glare from the sunlight could make it hard to see too

Haha I noticed the same thing. All '07 and older subies have ignored me or given me a blank stare. Heck, a few times the stare even seem to be insulting / stare down or something - but I only noticed this from certain drivers (younger ones wearing sideways baseball caps).

Maybe it's the GR looks, or maybe because I look like an asian teenager, or both?

Other GR STi owners, though, they at least give a V, or they did not see me. Too bad, I don't see a whole lot on the road.
