OH...well that changes things then. If you alrady have Nikon lenses, then definitely get the D70.

for the most part, Nikon Lenses are more expensive than the Canon ones. I'm just a bigger fan of Canon than I am of Nikon - both functionality and how they feel in you hand when shooting.
