Oh snap! Here's a fun fact.
Maybe you guys will score some choice herb
In August 2005, a raid on a farm on the eastern slope of the mountain culminated in a shoot-out in which a marijuana grower was killed and a state Fish and Game warden was injured.
What day? what time? i have gone up to the Almaden Quicksilver Mine hiking spot that is at that 4-way intersection off of Hicks Road a lot. There are some great views of the bay area, as well as some historical building remnants from the 1800s and other buildings from the 1970s, not to mention a mike shaft that you can explore a bit. Never been to the top of Uhmanum due to the gate with the dozens of pad locks on them.

The most direct way to get to Mt. Umunhum and the closest you can get to the summit in a car is Mt. Umunhum Road. From Camden Ave. in San Jose, make a right onto Hicks Road. Go past Shannon Road and Guadalupe Reservoir. After some elevation gain, you'll come to a rest area and Mt. Umunhum Road to the right. Take the right and travel to gate SA-08 about 1.6 miles up Mt. Umunhum Road. There is about 3 parking spaces. Walk up Mt. Umunhum Road, and in 1.3 miles, the road enters private property. From here on out, you are on your own.
there are no hostile albinos... Those are just stories that locals tell to people that are visiting the area... Kinda like the how the windmills off of 580 are turned on on hot days to cool the bay area.
But i would be down to go up to the top during the day. The view is supposed to be spectacular.

You can look at it in two ways.
1. there is safety in numbers.
2. You're chances of getting caught are higher.
We can divide the groups and have scouts to go head of the pack.
Just throwing out ideas but having too big of a group might be a problem
