Newest victim of 27151 (CA Veh. Code - modified exhaust)
Hey guys,
I got pulled over on Saturday in San Jose on Race St. on my way to 280 by CHP. Got a fix it ticket for no front plate and modified exhaust. I'm running a Tanabe Hyper Medallion FYI although it should still clear the 95 db limit. I was wondering if anyone has a silencer to let me borrow or is willing to sell so I can get my car tested by the state ref? Also, has anyone tested their car with this exhaust (no turbo back) without a silencer and passed?
I'm in San Jose but may be willing to drive an hour out to pick up.

Be careful of the code. I got a ticket in Fremont and put my stock exhaust on to get signed off, went to court only to find out that the violation he sited me for carries a $111 fine. I plan on going before the judge to try and get the fine written off.

because it's cool and if you want to be in the in-crowd, you can't have a front plate. lol

I think I still have a silencer from a Tanabe Super Racing Mediallion that I had on my previous car. Tell me the size of the tip for your exhaust, and I'll see its the same size.
